There are many eye conditions, for example glaucoma, that don’t have noticeable symptoms until it’s too late to do anything about it. Also, sometimes systemic conditions such as diabetes, can be picked up by checking your eyes.
Much sight loss can be prevented if eye conditions are picked up early. We advise an eye examination at least every two years; some people who are more at risk from eye disease will need more regular review.

Private Eye Examination – £35.
Contact Lens Aftercare – £35

Private Visual Fields Test for consultant – £50
Dry Eye Consulatation with Optometrist – £80
DVLA forms completed after Eye Examination – £15
Private Emergency Eye Examination – £45
Some people are entitled to NHS eye examinations. A full list is available here.
An NHS eye exam does not include the extra tests we do as part of the enhanced eye exam
but you can pay for this to be done at the same time as your NHS eye exam.
What happens next?
After the optometrist has done all the necessary tests, they will talk to you in detail
about the results and answer any questions you might have.
They will make recommendations about your glasses and any eye health issues that have identified.
Our dispensing team will then help you find the best glasses and lenses for your prescription.
What happens if I have an Urgent Problem?
If you have a sudden change in your vision or pain then you may need a review of your eyes more quickly than a routine eye exam. We offer Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS) appointments that review urgent eye symptoms such as eye pain, new floaters or sudden onset blurred vision.
Please tell us what eye problems you are having so we can assess how quickly you need to be seen.
These appointments are sometimes funded by the NHS, please check your eligibility when calling.
